Deviation

A zealous interest in and playful experiments with birch plywood led to this visually and physically meandering writing desk.

The drawer fronts were the result of hours of manipulation of birch plywood layers to create the geometric patterning achieved. The top is a burr ash veneer of bookmatched leaves to achieve this quasi-symetrical appearance.

The drawers have hand-cut dovetails and solid cedar of Lebanon bases.

Made from ash, birch plywood, burr ash and padouk drawer slips.
