These handmade fruit bowls could be called ‘fruit bridges’, as their design is based on the famous Mostar bridge in Bosnia – an Ottoman construction originally built in the 16th century.
These beautiful bowls are made from walnut or ash and are combined with curved, recycled plastic made from old yoghurt pots. If you look carefully you can see some flecks of aluminium lids in the surface.
A lovely addition to any kitchen or dining area – the bowl is wipable and the wood has been finished with a sealing oil.
Traditionally wooden bowls are turned on a lathe. This is one of a series of contemporary fruit bowls made using different methods, all designed and made in our workshop in small batches. A perfect gift for the design-conscious person in your life!
